Nicolas Wawiluk

Born in Belgium, with passports from three other countries, Nicolas has been a traveler since birth, at home anywhere in the world. Raised in a family of serial entrepreneurs, he has a deep-seated passion for all aspects of business. Nicolas currently works as marketing consultant specializing in helping small and medium-sized enterprises to understand global consumer behavior, to leverage the power of the Internet and to engage in traditional marketing and branding. He also serves as the global brand manager for the Megasonex oral-care brand. Before that, Nicolas worked with several startup companies on three continents in addition to teaching Marketing to MBA students at two leading business schools.

Nicolas received his MSc in Management studying Behavioral Marketing at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he honed his analytical skills. He was the youngest MBA student to graduate from the UCSD Rady School of Management, where he completed a project for Sony Online Entertainment and a business plan for an Internet startup. He also spent a semester at the Chinese University of Hong Kong studying business in China and the greater Asia-Pacific region. Before that, he graduated with a BA in International Studies summa cum laude at the University of California, Irvine two years early, while still finding time to study International Business and Law at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.

He currently lives in a small beach town in Orange County, California. During his spare time, he enjoys collecting Korean antique chests and boxes, listening to classical music and (attempting) ethnic cooking. Summering as a child on Catalina Island, California, he is naturally an avid hiker and sea kayaker.
